The MacKillop Saints u16s Boys Rugby Union side has reached the NTRU club competition Grand Final for the first time in club history.
The game will begin at 2.45pm on Saturday at Rugby Park. All supporters and members of the community are encouraged to attend and cheer on our boys as they seek to record their names in local rugby history.
Mr. Matthew Sharp, Director of Rugby, confirmed the team he'll be taking to Rugby Park this weekend for the encounter -
1. Trent Harvey
2. Nathaniel Brown
3. Noah Ferguson
4. Lachlan Coble
5. Nathan O'Sullivan
6. Nash White
7. Cohen Patch
8. Marley Carter
9. Campbell Stolberg (vc)
10. Ryan (C)
11. Jayden Mick
12. Will McCallum
13. Manu Carter
14. Jordan Kirkham-Chandler
15. Max Antella
16. Curtis Gottwaltz
17. Geoffrey Voss
18. Jarayl Clayton
Saints will be understrength for the season's penultimate game after losing two crucial players to the NTRU judiciary yesterday evening. Sharp believes that, while the loss of two outstanding players will be difficult to overcome, adversity will only strengthen his squad.
This weekend, keep an eye on players like Jayden Mick, who is in incredible try-scoring form after taking a hat trick in the qualifying final. Geoffrey Voss, who joined the team in the new year, has also been in excellent form and will seek to make an impact off the bench.
Following the u16s Boys game, our u16s Girls will compete in an exhibition match in front of representative programme selectors at 6pm. Our girls deserve to be recognised for a fantastic season in their own right, where they were once again the standout team in that competition.
